In October 2020 I contacted Colchester Market to offer to make them a promotional video and they said yes! I met up with the head of the market in October and discussed my plans and his needs after which I began planning. However, lockdown restrictions meant that I was unable to start production on this project until late April when the market re-opened. From that point onwards I worked most Saturdays and sometimes Friday (as those are the two days the market is open) to cover 17 individual stalls, filming a stall walkabout and interviews if the individual stalls agreed.
